1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bridal Body mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Soma Welling Ltd ("we", "us", "our", or the "Company"), a company registered in England and Wales.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use Bridal Body, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be capable of forming a binding legal agreement
- Not be barred from using the Service under applicable law
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data immediately.
3. Account Registration and Security
Account Creation
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
Account Accuracy
- You agree to keep your profile information (including health data, weight, and fitness goals) up to date
- Inaccurate information may result in inappropriate fitness or nutrition recommendations
One Account Per Person
- Each person may only maintain one active account
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent the Service's limitations is prohibited
4. The Service
4.1 What Bridal Body Provides
Bridal Body is a fitness and nutrition planning application designed to help brides-to-be prepare for their wedding day. The Service includes:
- Personalised workout programmes based on your goals, fitness level, available time, and physical limitations
- Customised calorie and macronutrient targets
- A library of 200+ recipes tailored to dietary preferences
- An AI-powered fitness and nutrition coach (Bridie)
- Progress tracking tools (weight, measurements, photos)
- An educational content library covering fitness, nutrition, mindset, and wedding preparation
- Apple Health integration for step tracking
- Menstrual cycle tracking
- Daily habit tracking
4.2 What Bridal Body Does NOT Provide
Bridal Body is not a medical service. The App provides general fitness and nutrition guidance only. It does not provide:
- Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Dietetic or nutritional therapy
- Psychological or psychiatric counselling
- Physiotherapy or rehabilitation programmes
- Any form of clinical or regulated healthcare
You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before:
- Starting any new exercise programme
- Making significant changes to your diet
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- If you have any medical condition, injury, or disability
- If you have a history of or are currently experiencing an eating disorder
- If you are taking medication that may be affected by changes in diet or exercise
5. AI Coach (Bridie)
5.1 Nature of the AI Coach
Bridie is an AI-powered assistant, not a human coach. Bridie is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI technology and provides automated responses based on your profile data and conversation context.
5.2 Limitations
- Bridie provides general guidance and motivation, not professional advice
- Bridie's responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may occasionally contain inaccuracies
- Bridie is not capable of diagnosing or treating any medical, nutritional, or psychological condition
- Bridie is subject to a daily message limit of 10 messages per 24-hour period
- Conversation history with Bridie may be cleared at your request
5.3 Safety Protocols
- Bridie will never recommend calorie intake below 1,500 calories per day
- If Bridie detects indications of disordered eating, self-harm, or crisis situations, it will provide appropriate support resources including Beat (eating disorder charity) and Samaritans
- Bridie operates within predefined safety guidelines and will decline to provide advice outside its scope
5.4 Your Responsibility
- You acknowledge that Bridie is an AI and its advice should be considered alongside professional guidance
- You should not rely solely on Bridie for health, fitness, or nutritional decisions
- If you experience any adverse effects from following guidance provided by Bridie or the App, you should stop immediately and consult a healthcare professional
6. Subscriptions and Payments
6.1 Subscription Plans
Bridal Body offers Premium Monthly and Premium Yearly subscription plans. Prices are displayed in your local currency as determined by the Apple App Store in your region and may vary. Both plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
6.2 Free Trial
- New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial before being charged
- If you cancel during the free trial period, you will not be charged
- You may only use one free trial per Apple ID
6.3 Billing and Renewal
- All payments are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- The renewal charge will be at the same rate as the current subscription
6.4 Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions)
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but you may be eligible for a refund from Apple in accordance with their refund policy
6.5 Price Changes
- We reserve the right to change subscription prices
- You will be notified in advance of any price changes
- Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period
- If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before it renews
7. User Content
7.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit through the App, including:
- Progress photos
- Meal logs and food entries
- Workout notes
- Messages sent to Bridie
- Profile information
7.2 Licence to Us
By submitting content to the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your content for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
7.3 Prohibited Content
You agree not to submit content that:
- Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
- Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
- Contains malicious software or code
- Attempts to manipulate or exploit the AI coach
- Impersonates another person
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree NOT to:
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Use the App to develop a competing product or service
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures or usage limits
- Scrape, data mine, or extract data from the App
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the App
- Submit false or misleading information
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functioning
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Property
The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all text, images, graphics, workout programmes, recipes, educational content, AI coaching responses, software, and design) are owned by Soma Welling Ltd and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9.2 Limited Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
9.3 Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any content from the App
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written permission
- Create derivative works based on the App's content
- Use workout programmes or recipes commercially
10. Health and Safety Disclaimer
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The fitness and nutrition guidance provided by Bridal Body is for general informational and wellness purposes only. The App is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition or fitness programme. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of information provided by the App. If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other adverse symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention. Calorie and macronutrient targets provided by the App are estimates based on the information you provide — individual needs may vary. The AI coach (Bridie) is not a qualified fitness professional, dietitian, or medical practitioner.
By using Bridal Body, you acknowledge that:
- You exercise at your own risk
- You are responsible for assessing your own fitness level and suitability for any exercise programme
- You have consulted (or have had the opportunity to consult) a healthcare professional before starting any fitness or nutrition programme
- You will not hold Soma Welling Ltd liable for any injury, illness, or adverse effect resulting from following guidance provided by the App
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- We are not responsible for any loss of data, although we take reasonable steps to protect it
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in subscription fees during the 12 months preceding the claim
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, health outcomes, or goodwill
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Soma Welling Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of the Service
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Any content you submit through the App
13. Termination
13.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account through Settings → Delete Account in the App
- Contacting us at hello@bridalbody.app
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You breach these Terms
- You engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, the Service, or our business
- We are required to do so by law
- We discontinue the Service
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to access the Service ceases immediately
- We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (within 30 days)
- Any outstanding subscription fees remain payable
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply (including Sections 10, 11, 12, and 14)
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
14.2 Informal Resolution
Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at hello@bridalbody.app to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days.
14.3 Jurisdiction
Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Soma Welling Ltd regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.
- Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- No Third-Party Beneficiaries: These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
